Eye Bank Medical Review Coordinator

Responsible for performing the daily medical, social, and pathological review of ocular donors to ensure that all Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA), Federal Drug Administration (FDA), and SightLife standards are met prior to distribution. In addition, position will provide support for recovery, distribution, laboratory maintenance, and hospital services as needed.
Salary: $39,100 - $52,900 DOE

We will train you to medically screen potential eye donors, interact and discuss donation options with donor families, and coordinate logistics of tissue recovery with the eye bank surgical recovery technician via phone. Experience in health care or science fields is preferred. We are seeking the right individual who can work independently during the night shift (6pm to 6am). Full-time work, but only 7 out of 14 days scheduled. Bachelor's Degree, $37,400 - $50,600 DOE, and additional pay for working nights.

Part-Time Eye Bank Recovery Technician

Responsible for the recovery of human eye tissue for transplant and/or research and the collection of necessary medical, behavioral, laboratory, and other data to ensure quality donor screening. Also has primary responsibility for tissue transportation to and from the eye bank lab. In addition, position may provide support for referral coordination and hospital services as needed.
$100 per donor processed, $11 per hour travel and lab time.
