Play it by Ear: a Fundraiser for Hearing
Hearing shapes our lives in powerful ways.
What if you could no longer hear music…how would this affect your sense of fulfillment?
What if you couldn't hear an alarm alerting you to a fire or an intruder? How would this affect your sense of security?
Now imagine not being able to hear your child say "I love you." How would this affect your sense of joy?
- October is Play it by Ear month.
- Under this umbrella name, we'll help Lions Clubs and other groups do a fun event to raise funds for our hearing programs.
- Our goal for 2007 is to raise $50,000.
- Your event can be as big or small as you choose. Click here for ideas like a Hike for Hearing – many can be arranged in less than a month.
The Northwest Lions Foundation protects hearing, restores hearing, and helps those with permanent hearing loss lead full and independent lives.
The funds Play it by Ear raises provide life-changing hearing aids to people who otherwise could not afford them, provide special equipment for deaf children to use in the classroom, safeguard against hearing loss, and much, much more.
