Does your community have a special concert series or musical venue?

Do have a connection with a local band, singer, orchestra, or choir?

Are you brave enough for karaoke?

Do you play in a band, sing in a choir, or perform in a barbershop quartet? Put on a fundraising concert. It could be held anywhere from a park to a school to a backyard.

Tie into an existing concert or musical performance. To raise awareness about hearing, you could incorporate fun facts and trivia questions. For example…

Host a "Battle of the Bands" for students. This could involve school groups or "garage" bands. (Although it it's the latter, you may not want to use "harmony" in the event title!)
Talk your friends into a karaoke contest. Hand out ear plugs to protect the audience from the most enthusiastic but tone deaf singers. Award a prize to the best and worst contestants. (Maybe the worst gets the Golden Ear Plug Award?)
