Bob Sheffels

Communications Manager

Bob is responsible for producing the Sights & Sounds newsletter as well as brochures, press releases, and this website. He grew up near Spokane and graduated from Washington State University with a degree in journalism. Before joining the Foundation in the summer of 2002, he worked as the Communications Director for the Washington State Food Dealers Association and the Northwest Marine Trade Association. He is the publisher of a successful regional book. Bob is an avid baseball fan who also enjoys golf and competing on the "Sons of Ichiro" bocce ball team. He and his wife Jennifer have two children.

Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight & Hearing Communications Coordinator Jonathan Hanneman

Jonathan Hanneman

Communications Coordinator

Jonathan Hanneman has been with the Foundation for several years, rapidly moving from Administrative Assistant to Executive Assistant, where he effectively facilitated the exchange of information between members of the Board of Trustees and Foundation executives and staff members. With his training in fine arts and software skills, he soon began assisting Bob Sheffels with the Foundation's growing communications needs.

In the new role of Communcations Coordinator, Jonathan maintains his board responsibilities while officially assuming additional ones. His duties now include assisting with print media and leading both the Foundation's web video projects.

Jonathan grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from Bob Jones University with bachelors and masters degrees in Fine Arts. He's traveled extensively, including spending one year teaching conversational English at a college in China. Outside of work, he enjoys photography and composing music. When the weather cooperates, he loves to get out on his bicycle and go whitewater rafting.

Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight & Hearing Lions Program Coordinator Alex Conn

Alexandrea Conn

Lions Program Coordinator

Alex Conn lives in Kent, Washington. She is a graduate of Central Washington University, having earned a BS in Anthropology and a BA, with honors, in Political Science. The Kent Lions Miss Cornucopia in 2002, Alex has since joined the Kent Lions Club.

Alex is responsible for administering the Foundation's Lions assistive programs, including the Hearing Aid Bank, Patient Care Grants, and Project Support Grants.

Apart from her work for the Foundation and activities with the Kent Lions, Alex enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, art/music/dance, and volunteering as a 4-H judge.
