Meet Our Staff
Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight & Hearing
Jolene Bernhard
Development Manager
Jolene Bernhard grew up in Colorado and completed her B.S. in Business with a minor in Political Science through the University Honors College at Arizona State University.
Jolene finds that financial supporters are at the heart of the Foundation's mission - they are vital to sustaining and growing our services. It is her responsibility to translate the charitable work that we do into words that educate and inspire people to invest in this mission. She also keeps supporters updated on the progress made possible by their investment.
Jolene's fulfillment is in the non-profit world and in encouraging the public and private sectors to work with and learn from each other. She was hooked after working part-time for a grassroots education group in college. Since then, she's done a variety of grant writing, marketing, communications, and events planning, most recently for KNPR Public Radio in Nevada.
She describes herself as an aspiring novelist, feisty sports fan, eclectic music lover, and avid traveler.
Marion Gallagher
Events/Special Projects Manager
Marion Gallagher grew up in Everett, Washington and is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Business Administration at the University of Phoenix. She graduated with honors from Seattle University with a major in Marketing. Marion has a passion for connecting good people with good work and serves on the Marketing Committee of the Northwest Development Officers Association and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Prior to working at the Foundation, Marion was in advertising sales, administration, and coached competitive swimming.
Marion and her finance Gordon plan to be married in October of 2008. They live in their Capitol Hill condo with Bono the greyhound and Bella the cat. Marion swims competitively, is a member of the Seattle Capitol Hill Branch Lions Club and enjoys weight-lifting, cooking, and reading.

Before coming to the Foundation, he worked for the US Immigration and Naturalization Service and later the Department of Homeland Security. He also worked as a freelance editor, helping his peers to create excellent pieces of writing.
A native of Arvada, Colorado, Jordan spends a lot of time outdoors. He is an avid hiker and cyclist, and particularly enjoys cooking great meals after a long day in the woods. Jordan always carries a book with him to take advantage of that rare moment of solitude whenever it appears.
